Therapeutic Percutaneous Electrolysis (EPTE®)

EPTE®: the innovative instrumental therapy for tendinitis and tendinopathies

EPTE® or therapeutic percutaneous electrolysis is an innovative instrumental therapy developed in Spain, dedicated to the treatment of tendinitis and tendinopathies, both in acute and chronic forms.

EPTE® is the first percutaneous electrolysis device guaranteed with CE marking for medical devices.

The therapy consists of transmitting micro-currents through acupuncture needles, precisely guided to the affected area using an ultrasound device, which causes a physical reaction in the tendon. The treatment lasts about 2 minutes and is almost imperceptible to the patient.

Improvements can be noticed as early as 24/48 hours after the therapy.

The advantages of EPTE Percutaneous Therapeutic Electrolysis

  • Reduces recovery time by stimulating tissue regeneration processes
  • Allows for targeted treatment through the use of ultrasound guidance
  • Induces a significant analgesic effect
  • Stimulates tendon regeneration
