With this method, electric current is used to transport medicinal substances through the skin barrier.
Most of the drugs used are anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs) for relatively superficial conditions.
It is particularly indicated for tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, osteoarthritis, low back pain, and degenerative joint diseases of the limbs and spine.
